The Business Marketing Club kicks off in the north-west

A brand new knowledge sharing and networking group for b2b marketers has arrived in our region – and we’re thrilled to be actively involved.

The Business Marketing Club (BMC) has already run successful events in London, the south-west and east Midlands. With the launch of BMC NW, the north-west’s growing b2b marketing community now has a dedicated regional branch to inspire thinking, learning and debate.

Max Clark, co-founder at Upp B2B, has been appointed as the organisation’s North West Chair and a national BMC board member. The first BMC NW thought leadership event, ‘Can investing in brand accelerate business growth in b2b?’, will take place on Thursday March 22nd at the Lowry, MediaCityUK.

“I’ve wanted to see a dedicated b2b marketing group get off the ground in the north-west for some time,” said Max. “I hope the BMC is going to fill this gap – and our first event has already suggested it will, with over 65 attendees signed up.”

“There’s a great deal of talent and expertise on our doorstep here, and to be able to tap into this and share knowledge with like-minded b2b professionals is truly exciting. We hope to quickly build a solid membership base and get more people involved in the initiative throughout the region.”

Open to all b2b marketers

The BMC events programme is built around thought leadership sessions and bitesize knowledge share workshops. The former events are designed to share the latest thinking on emerging trends and disciplines with senior b2b professionals, while the latter will provide training on key topics to help early and mid-career b2b marketers develop their skills. There will also be a schedule of roundtable events focused on major industry talking points.

Members of the BMC receive free access to the events programme and an exclusive UK-wide knowledge hub. With a mentor programme also due to roll out from May 1st, there are exciting times ahead for b2b marketers in the region.

“A north-west group was a natural progression for us. The north-west b2b marketing and creative scene is extremely buoyant and it’s important that specific developments within the b2b space are represented,” said Jay Neale, BMC managing director.
